Magic-Mike-movie

An excuse to watch a sexy movie

Watch the Magic Mike movie

Then, read the article Magic Mike’s Guide to Seducing Your Audience (and Leave Them Panting for More)

Learn how a movie about a male stripper teaches you about engaging your audience (as a blogger) and giving them what they really want.

Paige: [sees Mike counting money] Wow. That’s a lot of ones.
Magic Mike: There are some fives in there.
Paige: Oh, ok. No twenties?
Magic Mike: Oh, you don’t wanna know what I have to do for twenties.

As some of you may know, I’ve been online and blogging since 2007. I was going through some saved bookmarks recently and found an article from back in 2012. This was a time when I was burning the midnight oil and procrastinating about going to bed or watching the sunrise. I fondly remember reading this long but most enjoyable article on Copyblogger – a must-read blog for all bloggers. It was a great excuse for my husband to watch the movie with me (I thought so anyway).

I’m a fan of both Magic Mike movies, especially the second one. Who can resist Joe Manganiello of True Blood (werewolf) fame and Channing Tatum in various states of undress? I digress.

So, back to the marketing aspects of this great article. It highlights some of the essentials for good web copy:

  • Know what you’re selling
  • Grab their attention
  • Provide consistently compelling content
  • Reward loyal fans
  • Promote new talent
  • Make the ask

Share your thoughts

Did you enjoy the movie? Did the article resonate with you?
